• Laparotomy surgery is a surgical method of access through an abdominal incision in the treatment and diagnosis of diseases of the abdominal cavity and pelvis. The incision can be transverse or longitudinal. Despite the extensive tissue trauma, laparotomy is in some cases the only possible method of access. It allows you to get a clearer view of the organs, providing better visibility of the intervention area.
